Project Description

Jennifer was at a loss as to what to do, she’d had five fittings with another dressmaker, and yet her fabric had not even been cut! Living in Canberra posed additional logistical issues, however, we were able to clear a week in the studio to create Jennifer’s gown in one go whilst she was visiting in Melbourne.

The stunning French lace bodice, has been cut and hand stitched to filter down over the layers and layers (and layers) of pure silk organza, tea length full circle skirt.  Finished off with a satin ruched waistband.

“It was a fantastic day; we were so lucky with the weather – it was perfect, blue skies, not too windy and lovely and warm. People commented on how lovely my dress was and how nice that it was a bit different to the typical wedding gown.  Thanks again so much for being absolutely fantastic to work with!”

After Jennifer’s wedding, she had her gown dyed a deep shade of blue and it looked absolutely amazing!
